About the Sacred Valley of the Incas, it`s composed of mountains and valley connected by the Urubamba river between the village of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. Precisely in those two place are located the most important archeological sites of the region. Some historians sustain that the according to the mythology, the valley had sacred character, because the river that flows along the valley was finally joining the milky way, the celestial river. For that reason in the Sacred Valley built a series of sanctuaries to observe and revere the constellations. The study for the Incas did in the universe was recorded myths and in same chronicles Spanish, but the greater part of this knowledge has been lost. However the scholars have managed to outline an approximation of their observations on the constellations, probably the Incas classified as : The shining ones (joining the most brilliants stars in order to create shapes), The dark ones (formed by the dark zones of the universe). The figures obtained, but obviously related to the world that surrounded the Andean culture of the condor, llama, etc.
